If the fridge is tipped forward even a small amount, it can prevent water from properly flowing to the drain. Proper leveling of a fridge will depend on the model, so check the owner’s manual to determine if your fridge should be completely level or slightly tipped back. Most refrigerators are supposed to be tipped back slightly. This is accomplished by using a level and adjusting the front legs to be a little higher than the back and level left to right. Additionally, proper leveling will allow the door to gently swing closed if opened 90 degrees or less.
